Peggy West Memorial Scholarship Application
PFLAG Franklin established the Peggy West Memorial Scholarship to encourage and recognize Williamson County, Tennessee, students in the LGBTQ+ community who are pursuing a degree in higher education. Applicants who will graduate from high school in May 2024 as well as students currently enrolled in a college or university are eligible for the 2024 award. The expectation for all applicants is that they support and uphold the rights of all LGBTQ+ individuals, that they identify within this community, and hold the belief that all individuals should be treated equally and equitably without regard to race, creed, color, or individual identity. One recipient will receive the $2,500 scholarship. The recipient will be selected by the Peggy West Memorial Scholarship Committee.
Application deadline is March 1, 2024.
The scholarship winner will be notified on or before March 15, 2024.

Letter of Recommendation
In addition to the online application below, a letter of recommendation is required. It should be written by a school counselor, teacher, administrator, volunteer coordinator, pastor, coach, employer, or mentor (no member of your immediate or extended family, please). The writer of the recommendation may send the letter by postal mail or email. See instructions below.
If sent by postal mail, the letter must be postmarked no later than February 23 and sent to:
